Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

CALL for PAPERS

AIM AND SCOPE:

The Philippine Computing Journal (PCJ) a peer-reviewed publication committed to publish original high-quality papers on computing. The subjects covered by the journal include (but not limited to) computer science, computational science and engineering, information and communication technology, computer science education and allied discipline.

The PCJ, founded in 2005, is published by the Computing Society of the Philippines (CSP), Inc. PCJ appears in one volume with two issues annually.

All paper submissions must be in English, written concisely and must be submitted electronically to:

Submission must be in PDF format, or a Latex file is required (all macros used should be included; Latex2e is allowed; the standard article style is recommended). For accepted papers, the Latex file is requested. No galley proofs are sent to authors, the paper is printed in the final form received from the authors after the completion of the refereeing process.

References must be numbered in the order of occurrence and referred to in the text by square-bracketed numbers. Each reference item should include the author(s), title of the article, journal name, volume, number, month, year, publisher, and pages, as applicable.

Papers that have been published or submitted to other journals or books will not be considered for publication in the PCJ. Revised or extended versions of papers published in a conference, workshop, or symposium proceedings may be submitted to PCJ with proper acknowledgment and cover note.
